How did I start tattooing?:

I was so excited to start a career using art because it had taken me over a year, after finishing college, to finally find something I wanted to do with my life. I have always wanted to do something creative, to do something inspiring to others. Art is a creative outlet for a lot of people and not everyone is able to be creative in their life.
I was hoping my apprenticeship was going to be everything I had dreamed about, because most of art school was not. I was bullied the entire time I was in school, whether it was for not being able to draw, but being abler to paint well. Whether it was for working on the same painting for weeks at a time, or producing TWENTY small paintings in two weeks. i could never please my teachers or peers. There was always someone judging me for either not knowing what I was doing or, apparently from others, being better than some and actually knowing what I wanted and that made people upset.
I told my tattoo artist everything that happened at school and how I was being bullied at my full time job and that I just wanted to do art, I just wanted to create for the rest of my life.
I was offered to become a tattoo apprentice, to learn how to put my art permanently on someone. I never thought I would ever be good enough to do that. I met someone in school who was taking a pause on tattooing to learn more about art. I was shocked at how open and calm she was about tattooing. How she knew she wanted to learn and explore more in art to make herself a better artist for her clients. I had told her that she would never catch me as a tattoo artist, but look at me now.
